Antique Furniture Restoration - Philadelphia

We routinely repair, restore, and finish antiques and good reproductions in the form of sideboards, tables, chairs, chests of drawers, beds, desks, lap desks, armoirs, highboys, lowboys, antique pool tables, antique picture frames, grandfather clocks, mantle clocks or any wooden heirloom that requires our attention, regardless of country of origin.

We are award-winning experts in the field of historic wood restoration. If you need help formulating or validating a restoration plan; repairing and/or refinishing historic millwork; or choosing plaster and paint, we have over 40 years of experience we can lend to the project.

We have a full-service restoration facility where we routinely perform:

  • refinishing and renewal of existing finishes;
  • custom and correct staining with respect to period and style;
  • French polishing;
  • structural gluing;
  • splicing and carving of solid wood;
  • splicing and matching of missing veneers;
  • relaying veneers;
  • decorative wood inlay;
  • brass inlay;
  • ivory inlay;
  • brass polishing & lacquering;
  • replacement or reconditioning of leather surfaces;
  • marquetry and parquetry repair; and
  • turning.

Our judgment and experience can be trusted to know when and how to use these processes.

We serve clients in Chestnut Hill, Montgomery County, the Main Line, and at our new facility near Doylestown in Bucks County PA.

We now also officially offer a new buying and selling antique furniture ("locate and restore") service. Give us a description of the what you're looking for - we'll find just the right piece and restore it to perfection.
